"The Q and the Grey" Commentary. It's time to break out the Civil War costumes and take sides, because the Q Continuum is at war! Wait, what? That's right, war, conducted by an omnipotent species that has claimed it is above such barbaric acts in the past. It is issues like that (and more) that Char and Tristan point out in this episode of To The Journey, where they deliver a commentary on the Season Three episode "The Q and the Grey." But never fear, it is not all negative. Q episodes are fan favorites for a reason. The endless stream of one-liners in this episode alone makes it worth the watch. Recasting Voyager & "The Supercrew." They're younger, they're hotter...they're the crew you've never seen before and never will...because it's all hypothetical! Char and Tristan take two questions held over from their Reddit-style AMA in episode 137, "TTJ AMA OMG!" Kicking things off with who they would choose from all Trek series for key positions on their "supercrew." They then jump into their choices for Voyager if it was cast today, Abrams-style. They researched who was up and coming in Hollywood and proposed two distinctly different lists, based on different methodologies for finding the perfect matches for a new crew. After you listen to this episode of To The Journey, let Char and Tristan know which stars you would cast if Voyager was rebooted in 2015. Top Five Out-of-Character Moments. Whether it's due to a temporal rift or an alien virus, one of the most common ways that we as a Star Trek audience know that something isn't right is by making a character say or do something they normally would not. Our heroes sift through clues that help them determine what is going on so they can make things right...usually. There are times that these out-of character moments aren't as intentional but make it to the screen nevertheless. Sometimes it's a small glitch from a new writer or director who doesn't fully know a character. Other times, it's a glaring mistake that stems from sloppy and inconsistent writing. Whatever the reason, it's frustrating to the viewer. In this episode of To The Journey, Char and Tristan break down their top five out-of-character moments on Voyager, from microwormhole-sized gripes to macroviral errors. Pairing Off. In Voyager's earlier years, 75,000 light years was a long way from home. It seemed inevitable that the crew would spend the rest of their lives en route to the Alpha Quadrant. As Captain Janeway said, "All we have is each other," so it made sense that some members of the crew began falling in love and pairing off. What if we had seen more examples of this? In this episode of To The Journey, Char and Tristan explore possible pairings among the crew and determine if the relationship would be a hot fling, built to last, or the equivalent of a warp core breach.

The Season Four "Replacement." In the summer hiatus of 1997, fans were on edge after viewing part one of the explosive "Scorpion" cliffhanger. With the news of a main cast member making an exit, fans did not know what to think. It was not known who was leaving until Season Four drew closer and Paramount revealed that Jennifer Lien (Kes) was being replaced by another actress. Picture yourself in the writer's room and you are creating the new character who will debut in Season Four. What sort of character do you create? Char and Tristan play with this hypothetical scenario in this episode of To The Journey.

Season Two Essential Trek. Every season of every Star Trek show there are some episodes that stand out more than others — but which ones are essential to their respective shows as a whole? Char and Tristan try to answer this question by continuing their series of "Essential Voyager," with Season Two. They examine each episode's importance to the season, the show as a whole, as well as its overall quality and determine if it's "must-see TV" or an installment worth bypassing. Listen on and find out if you agree with their choices, or if your rationale gives you a completely different list.

"Worst Case Scenario" Commentary. If you could go back to the start of Voyager's mission and join the crew, would you sign on as a Starfleet officer or a member of the Maquis? Would you lead in a mutiny or fight back? The crew played around with this idea when they uncovered a holonovel Tuvok created at the start of Voyager's journey home as a way of preparing for such a scenario. Now, three years later, the holonovel is less of a preparation for a real situation and more of an entertaining story for the crew. Naturally, in the midst of all the fun, the crew hits some bumps along the way thanks to Seska, the Bajoran-turned-Cardassian spy who defected to the Kazon. In this episode of To The Journey, Tristan Riddell and guest host Phillip Gilfus from Earl Grey dress into their Maquis garb and deliver a commentary on "Worst Case Scenario." Queue up the episode and follow along with the action or listen to the commentary on its own -- it's entertaining either way!

Star Trek Las Vegas 2015. When it comes to Star Trek conventions, none is bigger and better than Star Trek Las Vegas. With Voyager's 20th anniversary as the main focus of the 2015 event, this was a party Char could not miss. In this episode of To The Journey, Char helps Tristan experience STLV 2015 vicariously by telling him all about what she did at the convention and what happened when the entire Voyager cast (sans Jennifer Lien) reunited for the first time since the show finished filming. Was it as amazing as Char hoped? Listen on and find out.

With so many excellent moments to choose from, some were inevitably left out. Listen on and find out if your favorites made their lists.
