Nothing Human. The real Crell Moset may have been a 24th-century Cardassian Dr. Mengele, but his holographic representation was always such a nice guy in the fifth-season Voyagerepisode "Nothing Human." In this episode of To The Journey, hosts Suzanne Williamson and Zachary Fruhling discuss the pros and cons of using Crell Moset's morally questionable medical research, and the possibly tainted medical knowledge it produced, to save the life of B'Elanna Torres against her own wishes. "False Profits" Commentary. Ferengi in the Delta Quadrant? We thought we'd seen the last of the scheming Ferengi pair Arridor and Kol when they were stranded on the other side of the unstable Barzan Wormhole in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "The Price." Little did we know at the time that we would get a sequel to "The Price" in the form of the third-season Voyagerepisode, "False Profits." Unsurprisingly, with the help of a salvaged replicator, Arridor and Kol have co-opted the local mythology and cornered the market on lobe-shaped costume jewelry on a pre-warp planet in the Delta Quadrant.

Top Harry Kim Moments. When stranded in the Delta Quadrant it's important to have a spirit of youthful optimism. In Star Trek: Voyager, this youthful optimism is provided by none other than Ensign Harry Kim. Brimming with excitement for his first deep space assignment, Ensign Kim is practically the poster figure for the ideal Starfleet officer. But along Voyager's sever-year journey home, we see Ensign Kim learn to stand up for himself and even break a rule or two from time to time. And while Ensign Kim doesn't often get to be in the limelight, he does get to take the center seat (well, on the night shift at least, twice a week). In this episode of To The Journey, hosts Suzanne Williamson and Zachary Fruhling compare their picks for the top Harry Kim moments in Star Trek: Voyager. Chapters Hosts Production |

Desert Island Episodes - Voyager Season 5. Season 5 of Star Trek: Voyager is regarded by many fans to be one of the strongest seasons of Voyager's entire run, from the ongoing exploration of new aspects of Seven of Nine's humanity to Voyager's 100th episode, "Timeless." In this episode of To The Journey, hosts Zachary Fruhling and Suzanne Williamson continue their "Desert Island" series, comparing their choices for the top three episodes from season 5 to take with them to a desert island, forever abandoning all other episodes from season 5. "Muse" Commentary. The Voyager story has always been epic in scope, with its 70-year journey home being reminiscent of Odysseus's ten-year voyage home to Ithaca after the fall of Troy in the ancient Greek epic poem, The Odyssey. With this epic scope of the Voyager story, it's no accident that Kelis, a poet and playwright from an alien society reminiscent of ancient Greece, finds creative inspiration in the mission logs from the wreckage of the Delta Flyerin the sixth-season Voyager episode "Muse." In this episode of To The Journey, hosts Suzanne Williamson and Zachary Fruhling give an audio commentary on "Muse" and explore whether the Voyager story, or perhaps Star Trekin general, really has the power to end wars and create peace through drama as inspiration and cathartic release. Doomed Voyager Relationships - Part 2. In this episode of To The Journey, hosts Zachary Fruhling and Suzanne Williamson continue their two-part discussion on doomed relationships in Star Trek: Voyager. In Part 2, Zachary and Suzanne explore the failed relationship attempts of B'Elanna Torres, Seven of Nine, Commander Chakotay, and Captain Janeway, from B'Elanna's old academy flame on the U.S.S. Equinox (who still wants his sweater back) to Captain Janeway's oddly specific holographic facial hair requirements. Chapters Hosts Production |

Doomed Voyager Relationships - Part 1. The relationship between B'Elanna Torres and Tom Paris is perhaps the only successful long-term relationship in all of Star Trek: Voyager. Far more numerous are the many failed relationship attempts, sometimes between members of the Voyager crew themselves, but more often between a member of the Voyager crew and a member of an alien species or (surprisingly often) a hologram. In this episode of To The Journey, hosts Suzanne Williamson and Zachary Fruhling have part one of their two-part discussion on doomed relationships in Star Trek: Voyager. From Harry Kim's notorious string of bad luck (sometimes while forgetting to file the proper paperwork!) to The Doctor's doomed relationship prospects, both organic and holographic, find out whether Suzanne and Zachary retain their shipper optimism in their exploration of doomed Voyager relationships. Virtuoso. In this episode of To The Journey, hosts Zachary Fruhling and Suzanne Williamson discuss the sixth-season Voyager episode "Virtuoso." From The Doctor's existential crisis and newfound musical fame with the Qomar Planetary Alliance to the diversity of musical styles in the 24th century, Zachary and Suzanne discuss the fleeting nature of celebrity and the pitfalls of letting it go to one's holographic head. Plus, we give a comparative analysis of Klingon classic rock and smooth-jazz elevator/turbolift music from Harry Kim and the Kimtones. Chapters Hosts Production |

Tuvix Alternatives. The second-season Voyager episode "Tuvix" featured some amazing acting on the part of actor Tom Wright as Tuvix, a transporter-created hybrid of Tuvok and Neelix, capturing the distinctive personality traits and mannerisms of both characters. In this episode of To The Journey, hosts Suzanne Williamson and Zachary Fruhling imagine alternative Voyagercharacter hybrids besides Tuvok and Neelix. Which character traits would be most prominent, and which actors or actresses would best capture the personality traits and mannerisms of these alternative character hybrids? Halfway Home. The seventh-season episode "Shattered" offers a tiny glimpse into one possible future for the Voyager crew, 17 years into the future. If the events of the Voyager series finale "Endgame" had not occurred, presumably Voyager would have continued its long trek back to the Alpha Quadrant over a period of 75 years. In that time, there would naturally be changes aboard Voyager as crew members age, retire, or pass away, and with younger officers rising through the ranks to take their place. In this episode of To The Journey, hosts Zachary Fruhling and Suzanne Williamson discuss other possible futures for Voyager, 30 years into the journey and halfway home. Who would the captain of Voyager be after 30 years? What would the command structure be like? Who would the senior officers and department heads be? How would the careers of junior officers and the children born aboard Voyager develop over 30 years? And would there be any major changes to Voyager itself or the premise of the series as a whole?
